Saint Barbara's Church
The Sint-Barbara Church is the centerpiece and the eye-catcher of the cité: the residential area of the former miners, also known as Eisden Tuinwijk. This neo-Gothic church was dedicated in 1923 to Saint Barbara, the patroness of the miners. Striking about this church is that the tower is not as usual above the entrance of the church, but at the back.
