Museum Art & History - KMGK
In the Art & History Museum you can take a world trip through history. The museum houses particularly rich and unique collections of objects from almost all corners of the world and throughout the history of mankind.
In the National Archeology collection, you will discover the rich history of our regions, ranging from the Stone and Metal Ages, through the unique collection of Gallo-Roman finds, to the beautiful examples of Merovingian glass and metalwork.
In the wing dedicated to classical antiquity, you will be introduced to the splendor of ancient Greece, Egypt and Rome. Admire the iconic colonnade, study the colorful mosaics, come face to face with Roman emperors or visit the Egyptian tombs and mummies.
Or take an oriental tour among the Asian Buddhas and cross the Atlantic Ocean to discover Tintin's “statue with the broken ear”. And then there is the beautiful collection of Belgian Art Nouveau.
The Art & History Museum is part of the Royal Museums of Art and History (KMKG) which also brings together the Musical Instruments Museum (MIM), the Halle Gate and the Museums of the Far East (closed for renovation).
