Het Steen, the oldest building in Antwerp that has fulfilled various functions over the centuries, is currently undergoing a thorough renovation. In 2021 it will develop into a tourist welcome center and guide visitors through the past, present and future of this attraction. Space will be made for an information desk, a city shop, exhibitions, an experience trail and a roof terrace. This year, a new cruise terminal with accompanying cruise pontoon will also be built where the ships will moor. The current cruise terminal on the Zuiderterras will then disappear.
