Museum of the Miner's House
If you've ever seen the movie Marina, this house will definitely look familiar to you. The Miners' House Museum served as the setting for Rocco Granata's living room in the movie Marina. When you see how beautiful and authentic the house looks, it is not surprising that the director made that choice. The house dates from 1925 and perfectly shows how a mining family used to live. Everything here is original: from the furniture to the painted walls to even the smallest details you see. After a visit to this house you are fully prepared to further discover the rich history of Maasmechelen.

As a child I wanted to be a pilot. But as I grew up I became fascinated with Mom's cooking. In 1973 she started the 'Ristorante Da Lidia' with dad. People came from far and wide to taste the dishes of the cucina Marchigiana. And I got to help... But I'm back. Together with my ravishing wife ceramist Maddalena Pantano and with Francesca and Gianmarco, the third generation, we present our new restaurant in Maasmechelen. We put our heart and soul into it and all the delights of the Marche. With us you can taste a piece of Italian heaven.
