Autoworld Brussels
In Autoworld, the national car museum housed in a prestigious building in the Cinquantenaire Park, more than 300 vehicles (cars, trucks and motorcycles) are on permanent display. The visitor is guided through the fabulous history of the automobile from 1896 to the present, from the oldest models from the distant past to today's cars that give us a glimpse of the vehicles of tomorrow and beyond.
The collection was recently completed with a large number of vehicles from the most exciting years of automotive history since 1960. In a light and airy setting, you can admire the cars on display up close.
Themed areas have also been set up here and there, where public service vehicles, cars that once belonged to the Royal Family, microcars and models under the theme “Design Story” and “Sport & Competition” are displayed.
Central to the museum is “Belgium at Autoworld”, a space entirely dedicated to the cradle and history of the Belgian car industry (to this day). The “Sport & Competition” zone provides an overview of the great periods in the history of motorsport (rally and circuit) since 1906.
Autoworld is a museum that is constantly evolving. Temporary exhibitions are organized throughout the year on a variety of themes related to the proverbial sacred cow that the car still is.
