Windmill van't Veld
In the Molen van 't Veld, with a semi-open base, you will discover the secrets with which the miller has traveled the road from grain to flour for centuries. The mill originates from Elsum, but has been in Ten Aard since 1992.
In the educational room under the mill is the legacy of miller Flor Jansen, where you can learn how a mill was built. Around the mill you can rest or have a nice picnic at the tables and benches.
Every year in April, the Bakery Museum and the Friends of the Mill vzw, in collaboration with the tourism and city animation department, organize the Molenfeesten. This is a weekend full of fun activities, old crafts and great animation.
The site around the mill is currently undergoing a thorough upgrade.
You can visit the Molen van 't Veld every Sunday afternoon between 2 and 5 pm. The guide on duty is a miller himself. Groups are welcome daily, by appointment. A tour lasts about an hour. For more info, surf to www.visit-geel.be
