Tiensestraat Leuven
In the early years of the First World War, the Tiensestraat had a hard time. A large fire destroyed a large part of some important places in the city. Half of the Tiensestraat was not spared either. However, some buildings survived the fire. Such as the corner house, now better known as Taverde Domus. Nowadays, fire can only be found in the form of a stove in the many restaurants in the area.

EssenCiel is a creation of Niels Brants and friend Romina Charels. Niels was the sous-chef at the two-star restaurant Nuance in Duffel for two years. As a Jong Keukengeweld chef, he is one of the greatest 'young potentials' of creative gastronomy. Romina also worked at Nuance before they decided to start their own restaurant at a young age.
