Oosthoekplein
At Oosthoekplein you forget for a moment in which century you actually live. Sparkling white houses and orange roofs: nothing screams an 18th-century seaside resort more than that. To immerse you even more in the history of the square, we introduce you to Mother Siska. She opened an inn at the end of the 18th century, which soon became known as De inn van Siska. The inn was a success, as were the heart-shaped waffles she sold there. Even now there are descendants of Mother Siska who follow in her footsteps and have dined on and around the Oosthoekplein. Culture, history and culinary delights, what more could you want?
