A more classic seasonal cuisine, with southern cosiness and romantic intimacy in a beautifully renovated mansion. The wine cellar is remarkable: not only because of the beautiful assortment and the atmosphere that prevails there, but also because you have a beautiful view of that exquisite stock of top wines through the glass floor in certain places in the restaurant.

Kim Verhasselt and his wife Lisbeth Morbee are Knokkenaars through and through. The emphasis here is on seasonal products, pure flavors and worldly influences. EssenCiel
EssenCiel is a creation of Niels Brants and friend Romina Charels. Niels was the sous-chef at the two-star restaurant Nuance in Duffel for two years. As a Jong Keukengeweld chef, he is one of the greatest 'young potentials' of creative gastronomy. Romina also worked at Nuance before they decided to start their own restaurant at a young age.

Cotton is a historical city archive. It has been converted into a hotel with 23 rooms and a brasserie where simplicity and luxury come together. The Bleekveld used to be a place to dry and bleach fabrics in the sun, both on a large and small scale. It was also a meeting place for women who were involved with linen and cotton.
