DEINZE
This East Flemish municipality a stone's throw from Ghent is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. If only to see the Filliers eggnog and gin distillery with your own eyes. Deinze also knows how to take advantage of its location on the Leie like no other.
A must-see, for example, is the Museum of Deinze and the Leie Region. Here you will see beautiful works collected by great artists such as Constant Permeke, Roger Raveel or Gustave Van de Woestyne. Looking for more active entertainment? Then have fun at the Brielmeersen, a large recreational area with a playground, sports fields and an animal park. Finally, the romantic castle of Ooidonk is also highly recommended.
