Flanders
When you walk through Flemish provinces, you walk through a rich history. The hundreds of old houses, belfries, churches and castles make that abundantly clear. The Flemish region is without a doubt the mecca for every art and culture lover. Ever heard of the Flemish Primitives? They are still honored here on a daily basis in the many museums in Flanders. But you will not be short of nature here either. This way you can comfortably come home to Limburg, where everyone lives à l'aise. Or get a breath of fresh air at one of the many coastal cities in the region. Costa del Vlaanderen, you could call it. And yet Flanders is more than a history-rich place. Nowhere else can ancient history be as modern as in Flanders. After a day in Ghent or Antwerp you will quickly understand why.
