Wemeldinge
Wemeldinge, Weumeldienge, is located on the Oosterschelde on South Beveland. The Dorpsstraat of the village has been designated as a protected townscape. It is a popular destination with water sports enthusiasts. The village once originated around three Vliedbergen, one of which is still visible. This is 12 meters high and therefore the highest in Zeeland. In the 12th century the population moved to a higher dike. The Dorpsstraat is now located there.
