The brand new Italian restaurant La Bella Italia will open this month in the protected monument Huis Van den Berghe on the Grote Markt. “Great food, two top Italian chefs and excellent service”, promises new manager Anmol Chapagai, who, together with his sister, also runs the Indian-Nepalese restaurant Namaste right next door.

In this beautiful and contemporary restaurant, chef Bart Deryckere and his kitchen team provide an extensive choice of various dishes and two price-friendly multi-course menus. From the veggie selection we choose a creamy risotto croquette with peas, which combines well with a pleasant tomato coulis. Beetgare papardelle is then generously served with shaved autumn truffle and with arugula for an extra fresh touch on the plate. Moelleux with white chocolate ice cream concludes a catered lunch.
