For a city of modest size, Geraardsbergen has a very broad resonance. With a (cycling) monument such as the Muur van Geraardsbergen in the ranks, that may not come as a surprise. What probably fewer people know: Geraardsbergen has its own Manneken Pis. Add to that a series of historical eye-catchers and you know why Geraardsbergen is also known as 'the pearl of the Flemish Ardennes'. And then we haven't said that Geraardsbergen is the birthplace of the mattentaart. A city with a lot of tourist potential.
